COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Our client is South Africa’s largest paper merchant, offering an unrivalled range of paper and packaging products. They are looking for an Order Allocation Clerk to join their team at the Johannesburg branch as soon as possible.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Allocating incoming picking orders to Pickers according to date and time factor
  • Prioritise and communicate orders in terms of arrangements/email instructions
  • Monitor long outstanding orders issues to Pickers not returned yet for finalisation
  • Continuously monitoring dashboard for outstanding (non-finalised) order reasons
  • Ensure all picked orders are finalised on time to meet delivery/collections demands
  • Follow up on email instruction with regards to customer service expectations
  • Liaise with Sales and Warehouse with regards to order picking changes
  • Report offline system problems experienced immediately to management
  • Maintain effective filing system on finalised picked orders (manually)
  • Carry out ad hoc duties as and when required by management
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety rules, regulations and established protocols

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar field and position
  • Computer literate and input experience
  • Good communication skills (Telephonic and Email)
  • Accurate and effective administration skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
